The “Preventing and Combating Gender-Based Violence for Women Living at the Poverty Line” program was created to support our beneficiary mothers who have experienced intimate partner violence. From the outset, we actively sought funding to provide these women with the necessary resources to cope with the multifaceted consequences of gender-based violence.
The participation of Children First and the implementation of its project “Preventing and Combating Gender-Based Violence for Women Living at the Poverty Line” are supported by the European Union through the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) programme, the Bodossaki Foundation, and the NGO Support Centre, within the framework of the PREVENT program (Preventing gender-based violence and violence against children).
The partnership includes a targeted grant to support actions that offer medical, psychological, legal, social, and economic assistance to the women affected. At the same time, the program aims to empower survivors, raise awareness among the beneficiaries of our initiatives, and enhance the capacity of the broader community to address gender-based violence effectively.
