Project: Preventing and combating gender-based violence for women living at the poverty line

The “Preventing and Combating Gender-Based Violence for Women Living at the Poverty Line” program was created to support our beneficiary mothers who have experienced intimate partner violence. From the outset, we actively sought funding to provide these women with the necessary resources to cope with the multifaceted consequences of gender-based violence.
The participation of Children First and the implementation of its project “Preventing and Combating Gender-Based Violence for Women Living at the Poverty Line” are supported by the European Union through the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) programme, the Bodossaki Foundation, and the NGO Support Centre, within the framework of the PREVENT program (Preventing gender-based violence and violence against children).
The partnership includes a targeted grant to support actions that offer medical, psychological, legal, social, and economic assistance to the women affected. At the same time, the program aims to empower survivors, raise awareness among the beneficiaries of our initiatives, and enhance the capacity of the broader community to address gender-based violence effectively.

Project: Girls Empowering Girls program to empower single-parent families

The Girls Empowering Girls (GEG) program was created to empower our single-parent beneficiary families. From the beginning, we actively sought funding for this program in order to provide single-parent families additional resources to face the risk of poverty.
The participation of Children First and the implementation of its project “Promoting the Girls Empowering Girls program to empower single mothers and girls” are supported by the Bodossaki Foundation and the Fondation Chanel, within the framework of the Empowerment of Civil Society Organizations Program active in the field of promoting gender equality.
The partnership includes a 5-month tailor-made capacity building program developed by the Bodossaki Foundation’s Social Dynamo and a grant of 10,000 euros for the implementation of capacity-building activities for the organization and the empowerment of women through the GEG program.
